Scope & Who We Are

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how The Skill Of (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and Services. We operate primarily in the English Speaking Caribbean region and do not target customers in the USA, EU, or UK.

  1. What Information We Collect and How We Use It

When you subscribe to our site or purchase digital products such as online courses, eBooks, or webinars, we collect personal information you provide, including:

Name and email address (for account creation, purchase confirmation, and communications).

Purchase details (through PayPal; we do not store full card numbers).

Learning activity (course progress and access on Thinkific, which hosts our courses).

Device information (e.g., operating system, device type, browser data, and IP address) to help optimize the website and app experience.

We use this information to:

Provide and manage your 60-day access to purchased courses.

Deliver free or paid digital products.

Process payments and send receipts.

Communicate about updates, support, and account matters.

Improve website functionality, troubleshoot errors, and track engagement.

Conduct surveys or request feedback to enhance our Services.

Enforce our terms, prevent fraud and protect our rights.

Email communications: We may send you transactional emails (purchase confirmations, reminders, or updates). Marketing emails are sent only if you subscribe through our website. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in the email.

2. Consent

By providing your personal information when subscribing, making a purchase, or accessing a course, you consent to our collecting and using it for that specific purpose.

If we request your information for a secondary reason (such as newsletters), we will ask for your direct consent or provide you the option to opt out.

Withdrawing consent: If you change your mind, you may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at info@theskillof.com or by updating your account information.

3. Age of Consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you allow minors to use the site, you confirm you have given them consent to do so.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

 4. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted providers to deliver our Services:

Thinkific — hosts our online courses and manages student accounts.

PayPal — processes payments.

MailerLite — handles emails and communications.

These providers only collect and use data to the extent necessary to perform their services. They may have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

If you proceed with a transaction involving a third party, your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) where that provider operates.

Links: Our site may contain links to third-party sites. Once you leave our website, this Privacy Policy no longer applies.

5. Sharing & International Transfers

We share limited data with trusted vendors strictly to operate the Services, for example:

Payment processing (e.g., Stripe/PayPal or your chosen processor)

Learning platform/hosting (e.g. our platform is hosted on Thinkific.com)

Email & analytics (e.g., email service provider, site analytics)
These providers may be located outside your country. We require them to handle data responsibly and only for our purposes.

These companies will also have their own privacy policies which can be found here:

(ThinkificPaypalMailerlite)

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Payments

We process payments through PayPal. Transactions are encrypted and processed in line with PCI-DSS standards. We do not store your payment card information.

8. Security

We take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to protect your personal information.

Credit card data (processed by PayPal) is encrypted.

Data may be stored with SSL and AES-256 encryption by third-party processors.

While no method of transmission is 100% secure, we comply with PCI-DSS requirements and widely accepted security standards.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide Services, comply with legal obligations, and maintain transaction records.

Afterward, accounts may be deactivated and data deleted or anonymized.

10. Your Choices & Rights

Access/Update: You can access, correct or delete your account details from your account dashboard.

Marketing Opt-Out: You can unsubscribe anytime via the email footer or by contacting us.

  • Recognize your device and keep you logged in.

  • Personalize your experience and remember preferences.

  • Measure performance, track usage, and analyze engagement.

  • You may disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not function correctly.

Do Not Track: Because there is no consistent industry standard, we do not alter our practices when detecting “Do Not Track” signals.

We may also use anonymous web analytics tools to collect session information.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

If our site or course is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
